This is Groundhog Day, a popular North American holiday. At the biggest gathering in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, a groundhog named Phil emerges from his burrow and checks for his shadow. If he sees it, he retreats down the hole, meaning winter will continue for six weeks. If not, spring is here. Phil then whispers his prediction in Groundhogese to the man in coat and tails, the president of the Groundhog Club's Inner Circle.
