A Business and a Pleasure

Making money is all well and good, but job satisfaction is equally important to many people. Getting paid for something you love doing is a dream for most of us, but for some fortunate folk, it's a day-to-day reality.

Need for Speed
Being a driving instructor might not sound like the most glamorous career but then most instructors aren't teaching people how to handle Ferraris at speeds of 150 mph. They certainly aren't earning US$1,000 a day. Ex-pro car racers are usually giving the lessons, and charging as much as US$9,000 for what is presumably not a crash course.

Spaced Out
Ask a youngster what they would like to be when they grow up, and “astronaut” will probably be a popular choice. Each year, NASA gets more than 4,000 applications, which are whittled down to 20. For those lucky few, an annual wage of up to US$100,000 might not seem out of this world, but the chance to make it into orbit has strong gravitational pull.

Tasteful Career
If you're fond of a tipple, then this profession should be just to your taste. You don't need your own vineyard as many wine producers hire people to oversee the production process. It's not all days of wine and roses, though: You'll need a degree in oenology, and at least five years of experience.

問小朋友長大後想當什麼，「太空人」可能會是熱門選項之一。每年，美國太空總署都會收到四千多份申請書，最後則刪減至廿個名額。對那些極少數的幸運兒來說，上看十萬美元的年薪看起來或許沒有多棒，但要成功登上太空可是大不易。

如果你是個愛酒人士，那麼這份職業應該會投你所好。你不須擁有自己的葡萄園──因為許多釀酒商會請人監督製酒過程。當然這也不全然是歡樂和富足交織的日子：你會需要釀酒學位，和至少五年的經歷。
