E: So, well you have this energy all the time. You're on this tour that is — how many days a week are you working? How many days do you have off? 'Cause when I called you for your birthday, you were in the studio trying to finish this album.
L: Yes.
E: Then you were going to be working on your birthday, which you were happy about.
L: Yes.
E: And you had fun.
L: I'm always happy to be working for the fans. Always.
E: You love your fans.
L: I'm always happy . . . You know I feel like I've been — I've been working so hard my whole life to be too busy to sleep, so I'm quite excited to be tired.
E: Really?
L: Yes.
E: Well, it's also your 25, so it's OK, because you —
L: Yes.
E: You have — you have the energy. Now do you see yourself — well, first of all, you can't have seen yourself this successful. As much as you thought “I wanna do this and I want success,” the rate of your success, I don't know that we've seen anything like this.
L: Well, I guess I never really valued wealth and money and then fame and then those sorts of things. To me, wealth isn't happiness and then, if you're given a voice, what will you do with it? How can you change the world? So, right now my wealth is in my fans. My fans are my wealth. I'm so excited because the Monster Ball, it's almost over — I'm very sad though, I'm very sad, it's only a few shows left and —
E: She needs her rest you guys.
L: I've done over 210 Monster Balls.
E: Wow. And you love it.
L: I love it, and every night I feel reinvigorated by the crowd, and we just — it's just such a — it's such an incredible experience and I think what inspired writing “Born This Way,” my new album, so much was that pop culture is our religion; and through self-worship in terms of your identity and through honoring your identity and really fighting for who you are every single day of your life, down to your core, you can have more faith and more hope in life and in the future.
   
艾倫： 妳隨時都充滿活力。妳現正在舉行巡迴演唱——妳一週工作幾天？休假幾天？因為我在妳生日當天打電話給妳時，妳還在錄音室裡試圖完成這張專輯。

卡卡： 我總是很樂於……妳知道我覺得自己──我一輩子都非常努力工作，以至於忙得沒時間睡覺，所以能感到疲累我也覺得很興奮。
艾倫： 真的嗎？
卡卡： 是啊。
艾倫： 這也是妳廿五歲的生日，所以這樣沒關係嗎？因為妳——
卡卡： 是啊。
艾倫： 妳有活力。妳有想過自己——首先，妳不可能想到自己會這麼成功。即使妳當初曾這麼想著：「我要做這件事，而且我也想要成功，」有鑑於妳所達到的成就，我不知道我們以前有沒有見過這樣的例子。
卡卡： 我想我從來不曾真正重視過財富、金錢以及名氣這類的東西。而我們就——對我來說，財富不等於快樂，而如果你有機會發聲，你會怎麼利用這樣的機會？你能怎麼改變世界？所以，現在我的財富就是我的歌迷，我的歌迷就是我的財富。我很興奮，因為怪獸舞會即將結束——可是我很難過，真的很難過，接下來只剩下幾場演出了——
艾倫： 她需要休息啊，各位。
卡卡： 我已經演出超過210場怪獸舞會了。
艾倫： 哇。而妳也樂在其中。
卡卡： 我樂在其中，而且每天晚上我都覺得群眾為我重新注入了活力。而我們就──這實在是──這實在是一項非常不可思議的經驗。我認為之所以會啟發我寫下《天生完美》這張新專輯的主因是流行文化就是我們的宗教——藉由崇拜自我、敬重自我，並且用你人生的每一天為真正的自我努力奮鬥，全心全意奮鬥，你就會對人生和未來更有信心和希望。
