A public school in New York City has become the first to serve a completely meatless menu.

　　Founded in 2008, the Active Learning Elementary School in Flushing, Queens in New York City serves over 400 students from pre-kindergarten to the third grade. _(1)_ They have put their money where their mouth is with their lunch menu.

The school's incorporation of health and nutrition in their educating of the children was starting to take effect.
