Annika Sorenstam speaks to FTV about life and Yani Tseng’s injury (2012/12/05)

前球后索倫絲坦來到台灣，參加「裙擺搖搖2012世界女子高球名人賽」，高爾夫球壇球后曾雅妮今年運勢不太順，日前又受傷無法參賽。她的偶像兼好友，前球后[索倫絲坦]反倒說，這是雅妮一個很好的學習機會，碰到難熬的時候才會發覺如何回到原點，把基礎練得更紮實。來看看民視新聞的獨家專訪。

前球后索倫絲坦第一次來到台灣，曾雅妮主動提供血拼資訊，並且好好接待索倫絲。

“我去過她(在美國的)家，她和她媽媽都很會燒菜，我吃過她的水餃。每次到她家，都有一股很特別的香味，聞起來很香，很溫馨，很親切”

今年雅妮打球打得不理想，甚至還因為受傷選擇不參加裙襬搖搖比賽，但這位前輩說，這反而是她學習的機會。

“是個很艱困的抉擇，妳回到母國，妳的家人和朋友，有的還特地從國外飛來看妳打，很困難的決定，不過(太順利的時候)就不會懂得珍惜，碰到難熬的時候，才會知道如何去惜福，然後去發覺什麼東西才是基礎，再回去重新練習那些基本工夫，這是個很好的學習經驗”

雅妮目前面臨職業生涯的低潮期，但索倫絲坦表示會支持雅妮，幫助她找回球感，保持第一。

Golfing legend Annika Sorenstam is in Taiwan to participate in this week’s Swinging Skirts invitational. She took the time to speak about another possible legend in the making, Yani Tseng, and mentioned ways for the Taiwan golfer to move past her almost season-long funk.

Former top-ranked female golfer Annika Sorenstam is making her first visit to Taiwan. Her good friend Yani Tseng took the initiative to provide her with lots of information about shopping.

I’ve been to her house. She’s a pretty good cook with her mom. So we’ve had some dumplings before. And always when you go into Yani’s house there is this special smell. It always smells so wonderful and warm and friendly.

Tseng can’t participate in this year’s Swinging Skirts competition because of an injury. Sorenstam said that Tseng should use this opportunity to study and improve her golf game.

It’s a very hard decision to make. You are in your home country with all of your fans and all of your friends have arrived from all over the world and now you can’t play. It’s a tough decision, and sometimes you take things for granted. But when things are tougher, you appreciate what you have. But then you realize the basics and what you go back to and start over and really pay attention to. So I think this has been a great learning experience for her. 

Tseng is mired in the worst slump of her career. But Sorenstam said she will be there for support, to help Yani return to the form that made her the best female golfer in the world.
