Residents surprised to hear removal of Dunhua Road bike lane complete (2012/12/05)

耗資近7千多萬設置的臺北市敦化自行車道，設置不到三年就喊卡。但從九月底單車道被刨除至今，眼看慢車道滿布刮痕，市民卻苦等不到路面重鋪。下午舉辦會勘才知道這刨除完的混凝土路面，已經就是完工樣貌。雖然官員強調安全沒問題，但民眾很不能接受，痛批施工太草率。
敦化自行車道，從9月底動工，目前民權東路到市民大道這段已經完成刨除作業，但市民卻遲遲等不到路面重鋪。

“我覺得很唐突啊，就一塊灰在那邊，整個敦化北路原貌都被改觀掉，而且不協調”
看看官員口中的完工路面，滿布刨除痕跡、坑坑疤疤，一下雨就東一塊西一塊的小水漥。

官員說後續頂多再補漆美化路面就好。只能說市府的完工標準，似乎和市民的認知，真的有很大的落差。
To most pedestrians and drivers, removal of the bike lane on Dunhua North Road looks like a work in progress. But today the city said construction is mostly complete on the rough and uneven road.
Removal of a bicycle lane on Dunhua North Road began in September. The section between Minquan East Road and Civic Boulevard was already removed. Then work seemed to stall. The public wondered why resurfacing never occurred.

The work is very close to completion.
“Does this section and that section look completed? They cut it up like this. Does that count as completion?”
"I find it offensive. It’s just gray over there. They changed the original appearance of Dunhua North Road and did not coordinate (the restoration).”
City officials say the project is basically done, but the road continues to have many scars and craters. When it rains, there are puddles everywhere.

You can see it’s brittle. This entire area of pavement is uneven and could impact the safety of motorcycle or scooter riders.

After wearing down the surface layer, it is safe for vehicles to use. So we decided to use this method of road work.
Officials say that the work is complete aside from some touch up paint and other beautification measures. But many residents believe that the city is approving shoddy, sub-standard work.
