(O) What is the capital of Japan?

 

這個問句應用what而非where。因為這句話是問「哪一個城市」(名詞)而不是「城市的位置」 (副詞)。

 

他待我很友善。

 

He treated me very friendly.

 

He treated me in a friendly way.

 

Friendly是形容詞，它並沒有副詞形式，不能用來修飾treat。

 

我的耐心有限度。

 

There is a limit in my patience.

 

There is a limit to my patience.

 

Limit搭配的介系詞是to；不用in。
