Orioles pitcher looks back at rookie MLB season (2012/10/15)

陳偉殷的菜鳥球季，在金鶯無緣挑戰美聯冠軍戰後落幕，回想當大聯盟一年級生的這一季，殷仔覺得已經 有達到自己預設的目標了，但對自己要求甚嚴的他，也表示還可以更好。

“今年投了32場比賽，也差不多投了192局，也剛好，算起來剛好一場就是六局 這個方面自己覺得就是蠻滿意的，可能不滿意的地方還滿多的，可能就是希望可以再用更少的球數，然後可以投更長的局數，這一方面可能就是自己的控球，到後半段的時候控球，可能比較出現會有一些問題”

從開季的四連勝起，殷仔就讓金鶯迷的眼睛為之一亮 ，而季後賽對洋基，在主場搶下第一勝，更讓他的大聯盟菜鳥旅程，算有個完美的ending。

不過，整季的 疲憊也反應在殷仔的膝蓋上，終於球季結束，殷仔可以好好休養，但他表示, 訓練計劃也沒有間斷。接下來還要其帶寶貝兒子的誕生。

Chen Wei-yin’s rookie season in the major leagues ended with the Orioles narrowly missing out on the American League Championship Series. While many regard his performance as a success, Chen holds himself to a high standard and believes he could do better.

This year I pitched in 32 games and approximately 192 innings, which I calculated to be an average of six innings per start. I am quite satisfied with this but there are other areas where I think I can improve, such as throwing less pitches so I can pitch more innings. I believe at the end of the season I had a little trouble with my control.

With four straight wins to start the season, Chen was one of the bright spots for Orioles fans. He thrilled fans once again by giving the Orioles their first victory in the series against the Yankees. Many believe this was the perfect ending to Chen’s rookie year in the major leagues.

However, the long season took its toll on Chen and his knees. With the season over for Chen, he is looking forward to a good rest, though he says he plans to continually train for the upcoming season. He also faces major changes this offseason as he is preparing for the birth of his son.
