美國釣魚台

日本將釣魚台國有化，引爆台灣和中國的不滿，各地接連傳出抗議活動。美國亞太事務助理國務卿坎貝爾，在華盛頓時間當地十一日面對中國記者提出的問題，做出了以下的回應。

“關於目前的情勢，我認為冷靜很重要，希望相關國家透過對話，能夠維持地區的和平與安定，避免做出挑釁的行為”

坎貝爾表示美國不會偏頗任何一方，希望中日兩國能夠冷靜面對，理性處理到釣魚台的問題。

Japan’s purchase of the Tiaoyutai Islands has sparked criticism around the world. Yesterday the U.S. assistant secretary of state for East Asian and Pacific Affairs responded.

In the current environment, we want cooler heads to prevail and we ask all countries to refrain from provocative actions, to seek dialogue and to maintain peace and stability.

Kurt Campbell said the U.S. is not biased toward any particular group in the territorial dispute. He hopes all parties can rationally discuss the Tiaoyutai Islands and seek a peaceful resolution.
