萬桌破紀錄

只有160戶、約600人的嘉義縣東石鄉，因為神明指示要辦建醮，竟席開一萬兩千桌的普度桌。

廟方說去年原本只有60萬元的可用資金，1年來募得4、5000萬，才能擺出這麼盛大的場面，廟方還找人空拍存證，打算申請金氏世界紀錄

Chiayi County’s Dongshih 東石 Township has just 600 residents from 160 households. But the deities instructed it to perform a major religious ceremony. Residents responded with a banquet 12,000 tables large. 

The temple that hosted the banquet originally had a budget of just NT$600,000. But over the past year it gathered NT$45 million in donations. Temple staff hired an air photographer to record the event, and they plan to apply for a Guinness World Record.
