黑莓機復活
New Blackberry phones make a bad first impression on investors

曾經是全球商務人士首選的黑莓機製造公司，昨天在紐約推出第十代最新作業系統，並且正式加入智慧觸控潮流，推出第一支全觸控螢幕黑莓機Z10，還請來知名歌手Alicia Keys擔任全球創意總監，公司也正式改名為【黑莓公司】。
Blackberry phones once dominated the corporate market, but those days are long gone. Fighting for survival, Research in Motion unveiled two new phones yesterday, including one model that veered away from the Blackberry’s signature keyboard. Unfortunately for the brand, investors did not respond positively.

被IPHONE打趴的黑莓機，力圖振作，30日在紐約發表十代最新作業系統，和兩款黑莓新機。包括維持黑莓機傳統賣點，有實體鍵盤的Q10及這次鎂光燈的焦點，第一支全觸控螢幕的黑莓機Z10。
Battered by the iPhone, Blackberry is hoping for a comeback. It unveiled its 10th generation operating system and two new Blackberry devices in New York yesterday. One of them, the Q10, maintains the device’s traditional keyboard; the other, the Z10, is the company’s first ever all touch phone, and it drew most of the attention.

Z10讓黑莓機的特色鍵盤順應主流，變成全觸控，而且具備滑動選字功能，還提供個人工作模式切換功能，商務人士可以任意切換公司或個人帳戶模式，不怕資訊走光。
Completely touch-oriented, the Z10 brings Blackberry into the mainstream with an easy-to-use on screen keyboard. A feature called Blackberry Balance offers separate modes for the user’s personal and work lives that keep information completely segregated.

執行長還宣佈，宣佈總部位於加拿大的行動研究公司正式改名為黑莓公司，展現靠黑莓新機東山再起的決心。
CEO Thorstein Heins also announced that the company’s name, Research in Motion, will be changed, signaling its hope that the two new phones will revive the brand.

From this point forward, RIM becomes Blackberry.

只是新機發表這天，黑莓公司的股價竟然下跌6%，投資人能不能對黑莓機重回信心，就看2月5日，Z10在加拿大上市的市場反應了。
The unveiling of new phones did not help the company’s share price, which fell 12 percent on the Nasdaq Wednesday. Whether investors regain confidence in the brand will likely depend on the market’s reaction when the Z10 goes on sale in Canada in early February.
