Survey suggests vast majority of Taiwanese office workers willing to work in China

國內失業率攀高，根據人力銀行統計，高達9成5的上班族，有意西進，創下近年來新高，年資10到15年的，意願最高，新鮮人也不少，看準的，就是到中國工作，薪水可以增加一倍半。
A recent survey has found that nearly 95 percent of Taiwanese office workers are willing to work in China, higher than at any time in the past. The main attraction is money – professionals can make up to four times as much there as in Taiwan.

根據台灣的人力銀行調查統計，發現台灣人有意願到中國工作的百分比正在上升。跟去年比，從77%成長到今年的95%，而且年資10到15年的，意願最高，剛踏入社會的新鮮人，緊追在後。
The survey by a local online manpower agency found that the willingness of Taiwanese to work in China is on the rise, from 77 percent last year to 95 percent this year. The greatest interest was among people with 10 to 15 years of experience and new entrants to the job market.

“到中國工作薪水，還是有1.2到1.5的增加的增幅，特別如果你是有特定的專業 或者是你在台灣專業等級比較高的，被挖角到中國去的時候，百萬薪水是用人民幣計價，等於是乘四倍”
Salaries in China are 20 to 50 percent higher, and if you have special expertise or you have a relatively high professional grade in Taiwan, when you get hired away to China, a 1 million salary is figured in renminbi, about 4 times as high as Taiwan.

上班族西進，不再往上海、北京跑，因為一級城市，工作機會飽和，高達八成七的人，寧願到重慶、南京先卡位。不過不管到哪個城市，都得花時間去適應。
Taiwanese workers who do take the plunge are no longer headed for Shanghai or Beijing, where labor markets are saturated. The poll found that 87 percent of respondents preferred to start in cities like Chongqing and Nanjing. But no matter where they go, there will be a process of adjustment.
