美國大選的國會選舉，還在計票中，不過根據已經開出的結果，共和黨確定在眾議院取得過半席次，民主黨則仍保有參議院多數黨地位，和選前一樣。

根據中央社的報導；有德國媒體指出，歐巴馬雖連任，但因為民主黨和共和黨各占一半席次；如果想改善美國政治立場分裂情況，歐巴馬必須採取實際行動促成和解。

While votes are still being tallied for the US congress, it’s clear that the Republican Party will continue to hold a majority in the House of Representatives while the Democrats will retain a majority in the Senate.

The divided Congress means Obama will need to work with Republicans to get Americans back to work and revive the economy. The first order of business will be to bring the nation back from the “fiscal cliff,” when about half a trillion in automatic tax hikes and spending cuts are scheduled to take effect. If the US goes over that cliff, the world economy could be thrown back into recession.
