謝長廷返國
結束5天訪中行程, 前行政院長謝長廷下午返抵國門，謝長廷說，這次收獲比他原先的期待來的多，並強調雙方都釋出善意，整個過程並沒有矮化國家的主權。

“也有一些朋友他們有質疑的聲音，所以我們在整個過程，我們就注意到說，我們不要被解釋成朝貢，被解釋成為矮化，不要失去台灣的價值跟尊嚴。那我們做到了，我們應該要有信心，台灣也不會因為我們跟對岸交流，或我們跟對岸接觸就滅亡”
Former Premier Frank Hsieh returned to Taiwan this afternoon following his five-day trip to China. Hsieh says the trip exceeded his expectations and that both sides showed goodwill. He insists that he upheld Taiwanese sovereignty.

Some of my friends also had doubts, so we paid close attention to the entire process. We didn’t want people to think we were paying tribute or to claim we were belittling Taiwan. We wanted to maintain Taiwanese values and respect. We did it. We should be confident that Taiwan will not perish because we spoke or had contact with the other side of the strait.
