目前全台各地的政府機關八月五日開始降半旗，以哀悼高雄氣爆意外，以及外島澎湖班機失事墜毀的死難者。行政院、外交部與其他政府大樓共降半旗三天。
Government agencies across the country began flying their flags at half-mast on Aug. 5 in mourning for the victims of the gas explosions in Kaohsiung and the plane crash in the outlying county of Penghu.
