When a burglar attempted to break into her home, the 104-year-old woman stood her ground and scared him off.

當一名盜匪企圖侵入她的家,這名104歲的老婦毫不退縮並將之嚇跑。

According to KFSN, Lydia, who only wanted to use her first name, was at her Fresno, California home when she said she heard an unusual noise outside her home.

根據KFSN,不願透露姓氏的莉蒂雅當時人在位於加州佛雷斯諾的家中,聽到屋外傳來不尋常的噪音。

She said she got up to check out the noise and that’s when she saw a man looking in the window and attempting to cut through the screen.

她說,她起身察看是什麼噪音,就在這時看到一名男子朝窗裡看,企圖切穿玻璃。

That’s when she turned on the lights.

她就在這時開燈。

"It disappeared...he must have run away," Lydia told KFSN.

「消失了……他一定是跑了,」莉蒂雅告訴KFSN。

Even hours after the attempted break-in, Lydia still hadn’t called the police.

此一企圖入侵事件發生過後多時,莉蒂雅仍未報警。

"I’ve heard they are so busy and some little thing like this...they just have to skip it," she said.

「我聽說他們(警察)很忙,這種小事……他們不會在意,」她說。

But despite the incident, Lydia says she doesn’t have plans on moving...right now I can take care of myself."

儘管發生這種事,莉蒂雅說,她不打算搬家。「……我現在能照顧自己。」
