中國十八大開幕，中共總書記胡錦濤的政治報告重申， 希望兩岸協商達成和平協議，陸委會主委王郁琦回應，和平協議不是優先推動的目標。倒是對於胡錦濤強調"兩岸應反對台獨，堅持九二共識立場"，馬總統說，顯見兩岸都重視九二共識，這不該是政治符號，是歷史事實。
