中型巴士怎麼會在熄火後，一路倒退墜落山谷呢，有資深駕駛，和監理所教練認為，可能是連續山路，巴士駕駛打錯檔導致熄火，接著踩煞車方式也不對，又沒拉手煞車，一連串環節出錯，終致釀成大禍。
肇禍的中型巴士駕駛戴天祥，還在加護病房治療。他開車的當時，到底出了甚麼狀況，我們試著還原經過，先是巴士熄火。

“檔數太高檔，你爬坡力不夠啊，不然就是你離合器放太快，它會熄火啊”
但巴士又為何不受控制"倒退嚕"。
墜谷的巴士和大型巴士一樣採氣煞系統，熄火瞬間，不能連續踩踏，因為每踩一次，就會洩氣導致剎車越來越鬆動。安全作法，就是第一次就要重重踩著不放。

現場坡度約15-20度並不算陡峭、翻車的中巴9月才通過定檢、駕駛有11年資歷，看起來都沒問題。為何會發生這樣嚴重的意外，還須要鑑識人員進一步釐清。

The driver of the mini-bus, Dai Tien-shian, survived the accident, but remains in intensive care. Many are speculating about the cause of the accident as many believe the bus stalled.

If you are in too high of a gear you won’t have enough power going uphill or if you put in the clutch too fast, it will stall.
When buses stall, the braking system can be affected.
Both mini-busses and large buses have an air braking system. When the bus stalls, one cannot repeatedly step on the brake because air pressure will escape and the bus will slip backwards. The safe and correct action is simply firmly stepping on the brake and holding it when the bus stalls.

When the bus stalls, one must get control of it with a hand brake, and after activating this, one can try to restart the bus.
The gradient of this road is between 15 to 20 degrees, and not considered too steep and the mini-bus had passed an inspection in September of this year. Furthermore, the bus driver has of 11 years of experience and investigators are searching for more clues in this deadly crash.
